Membership criteria

#1 Business Type: Applications are restricted to companies whose primary business is freight forwarding.

#2 Establishment Requirement: The freight forwarding company must have been established for at least one year.

#3 Authorized Application: The application must be completed, signed, and dated by an authorized representative of the applying company. It must also include the name and address of at least one current MPL member as indicated on the application form.

#4 Discretionary Membership: Membership in MPL is at the discretion of the MPL Board of Directors.

#5 Required Documentation: Every application form must be accompanied by:

o The completed, signed, dated, and company-stamped MPL Code of Conduct.
o A copy of your Registration of Business.
o The completed, signed, dated, and stamped Application Form.
o An anti-corruption document signed, dated, and stamped.
o Your company logo.

#6 Legal Obligation: By submitting the completed application form and the requested documents, the applying company is legally bound to the MarcoPoloLine Group’s Terms and Conditions and agrees to adhere to the highest professional conduct and ethics that define MPL.

#7 Payment Terms: Upon approval by the MPL Board of Directors, an invoice will be issued. Payment must be made for the appropriate amount within 14 days of the invoice date. This payment is non-refundable.

#8 Application Process: Every prospective member company must submit a completed, signed, and dated application form to become an MPL member. Payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice date, and it is non-refundable.

#9 Country Quota Limitations: New applications cannot be accepted if the country has reached the full quota of MPL representatives. Generally, the maximum quota per country is five, with some exceptions for countries like China, India, and the USA. A few countries may have a smaller quota for various reasons.
